While pursuing a disinterested career path in college, Alex discovered his passion for acting due to one of his prerequisites requiring him to take a theatre class. Upon making this realization, he dropped out of college and devoted himself to studying the craft of acting with some of the leading teachers and institutions in the industry: Lesly Kahn, Margie Haber, and the Stella Adler Studio of Acting to name a few.
